A scholarly discourse regarding fascinating and obscure psychological factors leading one of this planet's more curious carbon-based organisms to extemporaneously expel random musings which may or may not be related in some fashion to propelling a small round object through space above a flat surface either into or beyond an interweaved perpendicular highly porous fabric, within or outside of geometric patterns inscribed upon the aforementioned flat surface, mostly utilizing a stringed paddle.
This blog will, among other things, chronicle my attempts to meet my New Year's resolution of playing 365 sets of tennis in 2007. I did let myself start a little more than a month early. Why? Because I can. And because the thought of averaging a set a day for a year is, um, maybe a little overwhelming. I wanted some leeway to deal with the inevitable injuries, rainouts, cancellations, and so on. I also needed time to ramp up and contact people and get a network of people to play. So I have already started 2007 with 34 sets that I played in late November and December of 2006. Anyway, either way, I did play (and even exceeded) my 365 sets for a year, whether you count it from starting early or or from January 1, 2007. Forewarned! Well, Not quite 'beware'... the Titan is in Austin for a 10 day visit. 11/12 - 11/22. I know you can RUN, what I don't know is WILL YOU HIDE?
Stu... glad to see you back from your injury... hope you are mobile enough to give me the game I so richly deserve. I will be in Austin 11/12 - 11/22, with a weekend side trip to San Antonio with my son. I would think that you'd like to erase that blip of a 6-7 loss to TT in Aug '07... you probably could do it on one leg. Hope you can plug me in to other 'resources' compatible with my game too!
